    That's lovely. I'd agree on the matte finish (especially given the dings it's likely to receive in use); the only thing I'd suggest on layout is that I'd have framed it with a border just to break up the outline - twisted wire, scalloped edge or simple line (running wheat or similar I don't think would fit with the clean design of the crest). But then I'm quite capable of over-egging things.

    Next one scrolls everywhere?

    Thanks for the comments, the sponge block is a good suggestion, I would love to able to take credit for the engraving, unfortunately it is not my work,.
    I have my engraving done by a master engraver "Ray Hood' originally from London, I will not live long enough to become as accomplished as he is
