    Default Marathon 3 collet question...

    Hi all,
I’ve picked up a secondhand marathon 3 micro motor, it has the larger collet and was wondering if there’s anywhere in the U.K. to get the 2.35 size to fit?
Cookson sell a 2.35 collet but does anyone know if this would fit my model?
    Product code 999 DDN

    Thanks

A wide variety of micromotors, made in China and Korea masquerade under the name of Marathon, so our chances of replacing the collet are slim.

If your handpiece has a curly lead which unplugs, you might consider just buying a spare handpiece like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lab-Denta...IAAOSwcGtch1hi. Dennis.

Thanks for the info Dennis, that’s a good price for the whole handset.
I’ve ordered a marathon collet from here, hopefully it fits!
I’ve tested the machine and it’s so much quieter than what I was using before, and the speed control is great

Turns out the “999 Z002” does fit the marathon 3, in case anyone else was wondering.

Thank you for your feedback. Glad that's all sorted. Dennis.
