Hi,
Has anyone got any tips regarding taking the white off pmc gently in order to prevent losing any fine detail of fingerprints? The soft wire brush seems to mark fine detail.

Are you using plenty of lubricant with the wire brush e.g. washing up liquid
and using it under running water? (it really helps )

I'm trying that but the original moulding is so fine, it's just an attempt to avoid a scrap with a client when the final piece comes out with minimal prints as the child is fairly young.
how are you firing? maybe you should fire longer/hotter?
To be honest if the child is very young then there just won't be much of a print.
I don't do prints on children under 18 months and have an example of a 17 months print so they know what to expect.
Instead I offer the footprint, hand print option and use photo polymer plates to make a impression mould.
