At last....someone from these 'ere parts!! Where abouts are you? I'm in Runcorn. I make fine silver chains and then build up from there..dabbling a bit in pmc. What do you do in the jewellery line?? Ooooops!...in my enthusiasm I forgot to say hello and welcome!!
Hiya!
I am from Wallasey, its not far from New Brighton.
I learnt all the basics for silversmithing at college over the last few years (paid for myself to do this) and now i am trying to dabble in it from home. The equipment is sooooooo expensive though, but i bought a few bits with my birthday money last month and i have my first commision for a ring! yay!
I have also started to try out wire work desigining and making bridal tiaras.

Well - I don't think I'll be walking over to see you!! ..You're not far from the tunnel then? or are you nearer to New Brighton?
Congratulations on the commission!! Exciting and scary all in one go!!
I know what you mean about the equipment. I have been slowly building mine up since I left college in 2007 - but the wish list is still longer than ever!! And everytime someone on the forum mentions something new you think....hmmmm!!...I rather fancy that!!
I'm so glad I joined this forum though...I feel like a new woman!! All these people who I can talk to and ask question to ...and they know what I am talking about!! ...well, mostly!! It's brilliant! I'm sure you'll get a lot out of it!
hiya paula good to see you, this forum is great looks you will fit right in
