It's fine, a friend lived in Toronto for 25 years before he returned to Scotland and we used to talk a lot.
There may be someone to help you more specifically in the morning and the workings of the site will hopefully be sorted. I'm sure we all need to see some pics.
I should be off as it's 1.55!
Wow sounds like a great project please keep us posted with updates
Oh, I just remembered that Hans worked in titanium , he isn't on here anymore but he has a blog:
http://hansmeevis.blogspot.pt
I don't recall if he soldered it though, I just remember the pretty colours now that Caroline mentioned it.
Still can't post pics.
So the titanium I have I am just wanting to form, not weld. Welding titanium needs a TIG as it needs argon.
The aluminum is what I was hoping to weld. Melting temps for aluminum are around 650-700°c.
Titanium I know that you just don't melt at all, safety first lol...
I'm building it in a cave, from a box of scrap...

See Peters response to Dennis's post on th e page problems.
Don't know if anyone can help with aluminium either it's not a usual jewellery material either. Have you done a search on here to see if there are old posts on the subject?
T weld Aluminium successfully you will need TIG with a AC capability
