I was wondering about Pam East's method (she uses overlay paste too, before the gold), whether that help with gold...(and because the gold paste says don't torch fire, this is only method I've come across for art clay that says to torch fire.) however if you have used your method with art clay paste too....

Yep I've used it for both...the most important thing is to let it dry naturally.
If you force dry it then it tends to seperate from the silver below.
(I know this cause I tried it, then had to "rescue" the gold by burnishing it on my Ultralite Keum-boo plate)
