    On that particle issue BAO said if it is sold in the U.K. then U.K. laws apply to your work. The laws of the other countries as I had always believed with the US don’t apply if there has been a transaction

    Anything which is sent abroad is exempt and does not need to be hallmarked. You do have to comply with the rules and regulations of the destination country.

    I would sell it as white metal and not hallmark personally.

    For USA I have heard that it is good practice to give the pieces the fineness mark, so 925, along with your makers mark. It's a way of saying that you as a maker verify the metal and they can trace it back to you.
