It's beautiful Vos.
I too belong to the buggering things up right at the final bit club - it's so stressful!

Another one who suffers with the, why didn't I just stop/not fiddle any more!! I think it is a consequence of striving for perfection......not that I ever achieve that either!!
You were really unfortunate to manage to find the only hard edge within 20 feet Vos. Hope you have managed to get rid of the dent using the suggested tips, it really is a beautiful piece, I reckon your daughter will be thrilled!!
I was completely wrong! Managed to burnish the entire thing out. Thank you PS Bond and Josef!
Will post up in S&T tomorrow as I just can't face having to resize all the pics right now.
Cheers
Vos

Well done Vos, been following your movements on this one, as it normally happens to me. My daughter is my quality control, as sometimes I cant see faults, well I can, but tend to ignore them. Then she comes over and its "Mum you cant leave it like that, its got dents", so I end up polishing it out, and it does look better afterwards, but its tedious when you think you have finished.
Nice one, great looking piece, I'm glad you got it how you wanted it
The afformentioned gentlemen should take a lot of credit as I'd almost discounted burnishing.
