They're lovely Di. Are they etched?
-
Yes, Carole, they are. I've become very comfortable and confident with the etching, which is why I'm now trying enamelling. I don't seem to be happy unless I'm torturing myself learning something new! I'm also setting up a new website with a shopping cart (Zen), which is a huge learning experience from somebody who has only ever used WordPress...

That's lovely crisp etching. No wonder you're confidant, Di.

Very nice Di, as Dennis says, very crisp etching

I love those fish. Congrats on the etching.

Thanks Anne - I haven't been completely sofa bound or bed bound; I've ventured into the workshop once or twice...

I too like the fish very much and it looks like really deep etching. Just as a matter of interest and obviously not an issue with the copper, but if you are etching so deeply in silver can you recuperate the material from the etching solution? Or is it not really as deep as it appears and therefore not a viable option?

It is deep, Kwant, but I don't think I'll be reclaiming the material any time soon. I know it can be done - in fact the waste is clearly visible in the solution - but, call me profligate - it hadn't even occurred to me to go there!
