Lovely. Clever how you're attached your chain. I always wondered what fordite looked like. Now i know.
Thanks Sheen - I have some really interesting pieces to make into earrings etc. I presume you are aware how it was formed? Hand spraying automobiles which were then baked - eventually the thick layer of paint on the skids was removed and made into cabochons by enterprising rock hounds!
Thanks to those of you who have submitted our first couple of entries into this month's competition!
There is only a week left for you to enter, so if you have made something SPRING themed make sure you submit it for the chance to win £100 to spend at Cooksongold.
Good luck
Spring flowers are one of my favourite things at this time of year so this has been my inspiration for the spring theme. My entry is a ring with a spring flower motif in sterling silver with garnet. The flower embellishment is reclaimed from an odd earring that had been languishing in a dark corner of my jewellery box since its pair was lost many years ago, sweat soldered onto the handmade band.
(Although Violet tried to steal it for a toy whilst I was taking my photos so that I had to retrieve it from the floor, here she is showing her usual disinterest in anything that doesn't involve feathers or catnip!)
Hazel
Cute pussy cat, oh yeah the ring is pretty good too.
Beautiful James!
Lovely work.
