Least said soonest mended over here, Su'. Struggling a bit with a health issue, which doesn't help. But its all excuses really, as my OH so often tells me.

    Well done you, anyways.

Hi one and all, I'm a bit late to this post.

When I started at my new store last Sept I was 20st and a size 26. I'm one of the luckier people because I don't have major health issues that hold me back but I realised that I would very soon if I didn't loose a lot of weight!

Diets have never worked for me - I think it must be a mind thing with me - I go on a diet, try really hard and nothing happens - but if I'm in a positive frame of mind about life in general I have good results.

Just after Xmas last year I noticed that my work trousers were a bit loose, then a little while later I could pull them down without unzipping them, so I paid a bit more attention to it. Long storey short, I'm now just over 17st and a size 20/22.

The reason for this - well running around like a mad thing for 9 hours a day gives me great exercise, working changing shifts means that my 'evening' meals often consist of a grilled 'meat' with steamed veg or salad cos' it's easy for my OH to prep it and start it off just before I come home but is not slaving in the kitchen all evening. But I think the main reason is that I'm happy, a lot less stressed and not needing the couple of glasses of wine every night to relax.

I guess I've had a lifestyle change without realising it.

I'm glad everybody else is so positive about losing weight, that's half the battle. United we stand divided we fall, well done everyone!

    Annie xXx

Woot welldone!!!! Yes changing your lifestyle decfinately seems to be the key, i wish my job was more active as i sit in front of a desk all day and drive to work ad then sit with my laptop in the evenings on here lol. I think you are right if you are happy that makes a huge difference too

    Well done Su,

i cant wait for the kids to go back so i can stop eating and drinking Alcohol it seems to get earlier and earlier, Sketchers have come out with a new shoe that are supposed to help you lose weight as you walk, a couple of girls have got some more expensive ones and they do seem to work so i am going to invest in a pair as i have to walk through a park between the two schools, i started a diet once cos my skirt was getting a bit tight and then found out a few weeks later i was pregnant lol
