Good luck!

Sand casting
With the quality of silversmiths in this forum I don't think I have a chance of ever winning one of these theme competitions...but I enjoy the spirit of competition and having a go!
Here is a heart I made almost this time last year when I was first starting out in silversmithing. It is made using the Delft Clay method of casting.

Handmadeblanks; Simple, elegant and classic!
Was that your first attempt at casting?
Did you use a wax model or a found object to create your mould?

Hi Everyone,
My name is Matthew and I am making me and my fiancées wedding bands. We are getting married in June this year. I have found it frustrating yet enjoyable and so far it has gone well. Started practicing with casting an aluminium ring out of coke cans, then used that as a pattern to cast with argentium silver. Next step is the gold I am having white gold and she is having rose gold. Pictures attached are my ring of both aluminium and silver.

Heart Studs
These are teeny-weeny gold-plated argentium heart-shaped studs.
I could do with smaller fingers...

Theyre cute, I couldn’t manage anything that small yet. I have a silver pendant that I’ve been working on (my first project that isn’t beads on string!) but not sure yet if I’ll have it finished in time.

Do try to get it done eekoh - I'd love to see it.
