New here, but thought I'd enter into the spirit (sorry) of it. I suppose an owl is pretty twilighty, so here's mine. It was just a bit of fun for a youngster, carved from a piece of scrap Mokume Gane. I peened the eyes with layers of Nickel silver and brass.

Awesome, love it, simple, works brilliantly. Hello
-
I went for light and colour, please excuse the simplicity! I love the colours in the sky at twilight, and how quickly the sky turns from one colour to another. I used an oxidisation wash I use at a dilution I use frequently, to get the sunsetty orange-to-purple hues. I also use a lot of these apophyllite crystal tips (usually in rings). I used keum-boo inside the setting, so depending on the angle the brooch is viewed at the viewer sees gold, or clear with flashes of gold, or sometimes just slight rainbow flashes. The wash changes depending on the angle too. I added a little piece of reticulated 'land' for interest. I wanted to use my usual irregular bezel setting, but there were so many angles on the planes of the crystal that went for this gallery strip that held it totally securely instead.

Cute owls and very unusual brooch!
I will come and play too, this is a pendant I made for my mother in law of an owl they used to own.
Its an eagle owl hence the amber eyes which are citrine.
We live on 150 acres of mixed ancient woodland and meadow here which is registered as a bird sanctuary so have lots of amazing birds including birds of prey and owls, gets noisy at twilight though!

Well, I did say 11th hour
Hope this works! Inspiration was from the lamp work beads which I have had for a while, the central bead being a hint of sunset and beads deepening into a sparkly deep blue twilight. Made from silver, although it does look like gold in some of the photos.

Gorgeous owls, but I absolutely love that necklace Susie.
