This is very typically 'me', but a whopper! It's made from 20mm wide, 1.5mm sheet.
I love rutilated quartz. I oxidised the inside of the setting, and it gave it a really interesting silvery/mirrored look (brilliantly not captured here).
More Keum-boo - I'm now a full-blown addict.
Yowsers! That's a rock and a half, Lydia! I'm liking the purposeful, uneven design of the bezel which matches the edges of the ring shank. Can I ask (and PLEEEASE shoot me for NOT searching the forum first and just asking anyway (tut tut)) how do you send this for hallmarking (can this go on an all sterling silver hallnote?) and what mark is struck on it?
Also, out of interest what size did you make the ring? Being as wide as it is, did you know beforehand what size you wanted to make it (is it a commission) or did the size come after?

thank you - most of my rings have the uneven edge/bezel thing.
I did do the keum-boo - I have utterly fallen in love with it. It is loads more straightforward than I thought, and I much prefer doing it with a torch rather than the hotplate method.
I had it marked as sterling - as there is so little gold didn't think it worth part-marking.
I made it size T. In case anyone didn't want it (my middle finger size ;-)
The other whopper I've done is the labradorite one here
