A true work of art. Well done Kim.
A true work of art. Well done Kim.
Thank you Elaine!
And thank you Dennis and Keia!
Lovely Kim, really nice design and work!!
Elaine, I was in Cousins yesterday and had a look at the spoon stakes, out of curiosity rather than need!! I have to say I was reasonabely impressed, especially for the price, that's what caught my eye!! They are reasonabely made, and finish is pretty smooth, certainly to the touch, though there was the odd tiny recessed fleck to the eye and felt sturdy enough for a bit of bashing. In terms of technique practice they must be an absolute giveaway!!

Thank you for the "spoon stake" report Tabby. I may take the plunge. I've only made one spoon so far which had a round bowl done in a dapping block.
Thank you Rachael :-)
Hello everyone
Don't know if my piece is going to be good enough ( by looking at all of your stunning pieces my confidence just meet the floor.... ) but I would like to try anyway.... I would like to show you my very first "Tree of life" pendant with Autumn colours of the leaves ( beads). I've made it yesterday and personally I've liked it so much that instead of selling it I've kept it for myself If it is not the right pieces for that competition I am really sorry, just wanted to try

Hi babette,
Like you, I also feel very intimidated by the competition. But it's all part of the fun I suppose, especially as some of us are still learning & quite new to the proffession. Your tree of life is very beautiful, I've always envied those that can wirewrap like that because I never have the patience for it myself. You can certainly see all the work that's gone into it!
