Does anyone know where I can get the flat 'cloisoine' wire for enameling ?
Sylvia Wicks, Jewellery Making Manual, pp115-116 says cloisonné wires should be 0.2- 0.3mm thick and 1.5-1.8mm wide. She recommends you make these by rolling down 0.4mm round wire, but you can also do this with a rectangular drawplate.
It is also recommended that you very carefully anneal before using, so that it keeps its shape during firing. It can be cut to the required lengths with scissors. Dennis.

Thank you Dennis , I think rolling down round wire sounds ok , will try that and follow your tips, can use rolling mill at jewellery class .
Not heard of that , did a search online but didn't see that one , thanks for your help will look for it now
