Adore the dragonflies, especially as a choker - just imagine!
Hi Tabby, I am glad you like the idea of piercing butterfly and dragonfly wings, they are one of my most favourite jobs to do. May I ask how you go about drawing the wings pre piercing as your wings seem slightly uneven in design. Forgive me, but you did ask for ideas for improvement and these pairs of wings must be identical to look right. Here is an example of one of my butterfly designs and piercing.
I would be happy to tell you in more detail if you wish just contact me direct, I am James Miller on the other site.

Tabby, beautiful work, very pretty - especially the chasing dragonflies. I love the "chasing" bit, I think it gives them animation and a sense of playfulness, which is right up my street!
James ...Ganoksin? Oh my... I have been receiving advice from the master! Your work is exquisite.

Dear James,
Thank you for your comments, it really is appreciated. Pre piercing I blacken the silver sheet with marker pen and then scribe the pattern on through a pre-cut paper pattern (if that makes sense), although I know for certain that the paper pattern for the butterfly was symmetrical pre marking, I find the paper can move on the sheet and therefore may not end up quite identical on the silver sheet. I find this quite frustrating!!
I will contact you as you suggest!
Thank you for your help.

They are all lovely Tabby- I wouldnt even know where to start -
Thanks Tabby for sharing your work with us, your work is an inspiration It would be really good if you were to share the advice you recieve too as I know I could really do with learning as much as I can about making jewellery, hence joining this excellent forum, though, I love it as it is!
