Tensol 70 as mentioned above is a two part cold-cure acrylic. if you shop around, it is not that expensive, but you are saddled with 500 ml, far more than you might need. It is dispensed into a disposable cup and the hardener added at five parts to a hundred.
The small drug dealers scales are to get the proportions accurate.
It is quite runny when mixed and there is a lot of sanding to do to get a clean usable billet.
Pictured is my mini belt sander. I use it on a side table connected to our domestic vacuum cleaner, which no doubt will pack up one day in protest. Dennis.
