You just couldn't resist could you?

What's GETi been up to today then?

How to lose money on an order and turn it to your advantage.

This chess pawn paperweight was ordered by one on my customers recently. He originally had one cast from silver and we just finished it for him but this version is one that we machined from solid Stainless Steel bar - material cost £200 - tooling £60 - labour 3- 4 hours £200? - total £460 (plus all the other usual overheads rent, rates, leckie etc.)

How much are we getting for it? £200 - bargain! I haven't quite worked out the bit about turning the loss to our advantage but I think the secret Santa might come into it somewhere along the line I may also have to join a chess forum to see if I can flog a few to the enthusiasts out there - do you think they are ready for me?
