The Order Of The Bath.
After two days of absence, I need a Forum Fix, so lets hope this works:
I wrote about the ring spring thing over a year ago and the problem hasn’t gone away. (http://www.cooksongold.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4284). I also knew there were other auxiliary ways of tightening ring shanks, for instance, by adding short pieces of clear tubing, or wrapping them with wire.
Quite by accident I have just come across this: http://www.luc-co.com/ring-accessori...lution---clear. I don’t fancy it much. Is it just an expensive way of buying bathroom sealant? Dennis.
Eureka! thank you Dave.

I read your thread title Dennis and thought you had started making regalia. My mistake;
If you want to see options for making ring shanks tighter without altering them, then Amazon have lots of suggestions;

By the way I used to make The Order of The Bath regalia in my early days.

Sometimes I do wish there was a 'Like' button available, if there was I would...'Like','Like' this thread, you both made me smile!!!!

Actually James, I have evolved an adjustable ring shank, for when I'm expecting trouble. The side loops get squeezed or opened as needed. A small adjustment goes a long way.
Tabby, there is a button somewhere, because a few months back I did get a thumbs down. Thank you for your comment, but you obviously can't please all the people all of the time. Dennis
