Hi
I've got the plate but was wondering if a daylight bulb would work when setting it? or do I have to locate a uv nail dryer (Just sunshine up this neck of the woods is rare at this time of year)

You need a constant uv source of a decent intensity.
(like a uv nail lamp) Otherwise you may under or over expose the plate
either of which would create a poor impression.
There is a type of plate making kit that you can use
with a normal light (they're like gel packs)
