If you're a gold member of the GOJD, you should get 10% off with Betts (you did on most items when I last looked, at any rate). Alternatively, try asking them to price match.
It's not the people whose orders arrive without a problem who get the problems - that's the problem.
Here are some recent reviews: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.cousinsuk.com
And some more:...
It's certainly appealing, Dennis, but I wouldn't buy anything from Cousins. I've read of cases where people have ordered very expensive watch movements, these have arrived damaged or even been the...
For the first twenty-one years of my life I was right-handed. Then one day I had to become permanently left-handed. I'm now probably more dexterous (pardon the etymological infelicity) at many things...
If you can pull the strips (how long are they?) off the coins I'd be astonished if they are being properly soldered on.
Perhaps you could show us a close-up photo of a soldered joint and/or the two...
I have to agree with Dennis. Your set-up looks decidedly dodgy. Is there a reason you are trying to do things in this very unconventional and, from the look of things, very unsafe, way?
Not sure what you mean by "looking for". The settings could easily be made out of tube. Stone diameter can be chosen according to the diameter of the tube or vice versa.
That's useful information to have. Thanks.
How do you find it working with the Milbro, and is yours the 12000rpm version or the 18000?
Welcome to the forum, by the way!
No problem, Dennis.
Yes, among other things it was heartening to see someone who is obviously very experienced and accomplished still having to take considerable pains to set things up for...
The supporting strip can actually form the back bezel of the multi-stone setting; in other words it doesn't need to be filed away, just filed into shape. Jarvis shows you how from p.75 on.
It...
No two stones look the same size and the second setting from the left looks like it has 5 claws. Having said that, I can't see any major reason why it couldn't be fabricated.
If you were going to...
I've noticed with my latest order that on all the pickers' sticky labels that have been put on or with the products I've been sent by Cookson there is a big exclamation mark in the blank area on the...
I'd say it's the second hardest, Faith.
Can I ask you, Sarah, whether superglue can be used to hold things in place while you solder? (I've never tried it, so have no idea). In other words, if you flux the glued together parts, will the...
In France there's the inevitable Cookson-Clal, with addresses in Paris, Lyon and Marseille. Service here is apparently "réservé aux professionnels de la bijouterie", which may mean you have to...
Very nice, Dennis. Thanks for showing it.
Susan Pennington has got a brilliant monogram logo:

Real CZs?
On the map we're tiny. The trouble comes when you're trying to get from A to B, which generally takes a lot longer per mile than in Australia because of all the traffic impeding...
Thanks for that. The dial does seem slightly better than mine in covering a smaller pressure range.
The best propane regulator for our use I've found (it only goes up to 15 psi) after doing a bit...
But presumably, if they're designed to operate at lower outlet pressures, a more generous portion of the circumference of the dial will be occupied by the pressure range Little torches are generally...
Did someone suggest otherwise?
I'd be interested to see an image of the regulator. The only ones I know of that are made for the Little torch are for the bernzomatic style gas cylinders, as used...
Yes, for tip numbers 2 to 7 the psi range is 2 to 8.
8 psi is significantly less than one bar.
One of the reasons I got the following regulator is that you can see roughly what pressure the fuel...
No problem at all, Caroline.
At 83cm, you're saying it's nearly a metre tall. That drinks bottle it's on must be over 5 metres tall then. Do you have unusually large drinks bottles in your house, and an unusually large house?
