This one was made by casting 2 needle file tangs (all thats left when i've had a go!) in silver using delft clay.
the hearts are set into the feed end of the cast (top - where the silver goes in)...

Heres my effort, made the bench myself from an unwanted work top and some chunky wood i had.

I used delft clay to cast the square dish shape from a wax model. the clamps holding the stone in are whats left of 2 big feed holes (are they called sprues in this case?) that didnt...

ah, its only been a couple of months though, surely the colour should stay longer than that otherwise no one would bother with tanzanite!?

... i just bought 4 more tanzanites, the 3 on the display...
