I use LPG for my Smiths little torch, normally Propane but can be a mix of Propane and Butane, essentially for Jewellery purposes Butane or Propane would be suitable.

I agree with Nick you can't really go past the Smiths little torch, however as said is a fairly big commitment, I have a friend who uses one all the time for casting, myself I do not do hardly any...
In my experience it should work fine.
I agree it is a swear word, but on occasion I have resorted to glue.
I believe you need to make your wishes clear from the outset, I repaired a silver ring for the nurse at my GP, broken band bent out of shape and loose stones lots of scratches etc., I said I can...
Yep john' no nonsense approach is great for beginners.
Have a look here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7x9n6iWp5Q
Maybe I am missing something here but is there any reason you can't just resize the ring.

No I don't think so!
My partners relies arrived from Scotland today for week, they nearly fainted 33deg, Monday ( holiday here in SA ) forecast 37deg, don't think they will venture outside much
Yeh I know spelt it...
I have a mini ball suits pretty much all I need, although now that I'm getting into engraving I may need the large one as well, (need to save my pennies )
Yeh I noticed that dapping set makes mine look a bit ordinary.
Nick ,totally off subject, I enjoyed your Celtic Knot Bead video.
If you really want, there are alternatives to Durston
My friend Karen in QLD has one, it just sits on a shelf looking smart, she never uses it finding a hammer and block just as quick and easy, the press weighs 25kg so unless you have a permanent place...
I have a 20T Press and it will cut 1mm Disks with a Disk Cutter, however as Dennis said it it too much bother. I use a brass hammer ( appr. 1kg ) my Disk cutters are all custom made and properly heat...
No, I did not follow up.
I think your Borax may be suspect, I have never had to have a crucible (Clay) glowing hot to glaze it
Happy New Year to every one
The price that Durstan are currently offering it for, is a substantial saving, and Durston are one of the top brands.
I second what Dennis said.
Thanks Dennis, same to you and all the other members.
