Have you ever tried solder paste? Far simpler to use than having to cut up the solder and use flux. It's solder and flux in one and it's very easy to control where it goes.

Have you tried Curteis? They're pretty good for that sort of thing but can be pricey.
Thanks for that Carole. Does the M20 do the inside of bangles or just rings?
Hi folks.
I'm looking to invest in an engraving machine. Has anyone got any experience of any of these that they would be willing to share? I quite like the Gravograph ring cube but would...
I keep the steam cleaner in a separate room as it's a scary bit of kit and will cause damp. Needs to be serviced annually - go to your local garage and find out who they use to service their...
The Eitan one from Walsh

They do a smaller one but you will be forever refilling it and you have to wait for it to cool before you can...
Hi Carole
I've had a bit of an ultrasonic journey over the past few years! I think I've tried 4 smaller machines. Earlier this year I was lucy enough to buy a second hand huge 12 litre...
Dennis, simply stunning. Thanks for sharing.
Super, thanks Carole. I've been after one of these for aaaages! And an engraving machine, but I suspect that I better start another thread for that!
Can you use the flattener to flatten out bangles Carole?
Fabulous work Vos! Lovely design and stone too :-)
Thanks folks for all the advice. I suspect that the post wasn't a snug enough fit.
I hadn't heard of 5 minute epoxy or the superglue gel so I'm off to shop :-)
Youch! The poor arbor press!!
I have had a fly press and arbour sat in my shed for four years now - ebay purchases. I knew that the would come in useful one day but never got round to working out what to do with them. Thanks...
Morning all.
Looking for a little advice. I'm looking to set some pearls and have tried in the past without success. What adhesive would you recommend? I have been roughing up the post and...
Fabulous thread! So interesting to see all of your set-ups. Super jealous of your workshop Carole - it looks so warm and cosy. Will have to try and dig some images out..
Ohhh lordy! Another amazing supplier to feed my habit!
I think you might find that in a jiffy bag, 20mm is too deep for large letter size. I use the Potters boxes Carole mentioned and their 18mm boxes only just fit through the gap in a cardboard...
Oh yes and I always phone them. They are always really helpful and accommodating (especially when I change my mind about an order 4 times!!).
Another thumbs up here for Potters. I use their ecoboard series and for cheaper things their ecoboard postal boxes which are perfect to send at the large letter rate :)
Thanks for your replies - much appreciated!
Hi folks
Was just wondering how people finish their jewellery prior to dispatch to ensure polish is removed? Do you rely on ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners or hot soapy water and a brush? ...
Thanks for that Carole. It's good to know that it works. Even with the £162 postage charges it's cheaper than the Euromountings one!!
Festive greetings to you all!
Having made oodles of bangles on the run up to Christmas, I seemed to have spent a lot of time getting the sizes right and flattening them. So I've decided to splash...
Hi Silken. Yes I have one and it's extremely easy to use. I didn't buy the power pack (rectifier) as we already had something that we could use. It's just a case of plug, clip and dip! Make sure...
