What a lovely otter! We're also huge fans - though I can't imagine having a real one as a pet.
I think this one needs a name though!
Fab acrylic work as always Dennis - you really have mastered...
Tronex razors. Not cheap, but that's for a reason. Watch out for sizes, as many are not rated above 16ga and will be damaged easily. There's an oval headed version that's good up to 14ga (about...
I have both the Swanstrom and the Pepe, and other than for very large sizes, the Pepe is my go-to tool. Better range of sizes, I find the clamping mechanism easier and less sticky, and I like the...
At least it says you've done a nice job on the soldering / cleanup!!
The other option is Noirit, but I see that's now been classified as dangerous as well and can only be sent to VAT registered customers. I like it because it's prediluted and ready to use, so there's...
No snow here (we've only had a couple of flurries in the last week or so) but bitterly cold. I hate it.
What about Didy's as worn for lampwork? I know they're specifically for soda flare, but they do a lot to reduce general glare and certainly keep everything else pretty sharp.

I've used geTi and been very happy with the service
Personally, without a laser setup, I'd send it back. It just smells of failure. That's quite apart from the horrific smell you'll get from whatever's inside the moment a flame goes near it.
I would also consider working with fine silver - it's softer, and more tarnish resistant. Otherwise, look at Argentium as an option - slightly more expensive, but no tarnish and shines up beautifully.
Nope! Sterling, and fully hard at that. I'm sure I had some plan for it at the time, but it's probably been lurking at the bottom of my bullion drawer for 20 odd years.
I have some 0.15mm, but I can't for the life of me remember where it came from. I've never managed to think of anything much to do with it though!
Hello Susana, and welcome :)
I love your acrylic pieces Dennis - they're fun and stylish but always perfectly executed :)
The zodiac necklace is very nice indeed, and I suspect will be worn a lot. It's just the right size...
Do you have a Cookson customer number? That will usually be sufficient for them to give you a login/account.
Take a look at the Marathon 3 here: https://www.eurofindings.com/series/1781/pendant-drill-micromotor - you may need to register to see prices, but under £100 (ex vat of course) and actually in the...
Only about three thousand odd miles, I suppose?
Good result! I'm pleased you got it all to work in the end :)
Oh well done Maria - I think I might have ducked this one (after a bad experience with something similar!)
I wonder if the little rings used on orthodontic braces might work? I've used these successfully as spacers for something similar in the past.
This kind of thing -...
And I can only echo the same sentiments - stay safe everyone and let's hope next year will be a better one.
I can tell the difference, and these are in piercings that are forty years old. I'm told that there is a difference depending on how the original piercing was done and where, but I cannot wear...
Now that shows that you don't wear earrings Dennis. The moment you have a heavily forged area on the wire like that, you risk it travelling up into the piercing, where it cuts and irritates. Horrid....
I like the top right as well - it looks very comfortable - but I'd probably most like to wear the bottom left one, which is the perfect pinky ring IMO - unobtrusive, won't bang into things and just a...
