That is an impressive moth.
I'm not much of girly girl, in fact I was Official Spider Remover in a house with more boys than girls, but if it's got a sting, I am gone! I rather like moths.
Those pearls are such a lovely colour, very nice!
And I see the disembodied hands are catching on :D

The clouds parted long enough for me to get my fix :)
I saw a handful of tiddlers and one really good one. Then the clouds came back. Ah well.
Also, I am jealous of your living in Cairo. I've always wanted to visit Egypt (had a thing for Egyptology as a kid) but haven't saved up enough yet. I keep spending it on jewellery tools.
The Perseid shower peaked at 17:30 today, and it wasn't supposed to get going till the small hours of this morning. And I didn't think to post about it here till today #-o
I couldn't watch it this...
Once it gets fully dark tonight, you should be able to see the Perseid meteor shower! Providing the clouds stay away *fingers crossed*
Here's a link to more info from New Scientist if anyone's...
It'll take me ages to make it to Senior Member. I'm a natural lurker :^o^:
*jaw drop* that's amazing!
One day we'll be selling jewellery for that much....
Yes I can live in a fantasy world if I want :P
I've finally gotten around to putting myself on the map. I was a bit nervous of it after what everyone else has been through with it and was pleasantly surprised :)
(of course I did cheat a bit...
Those look like some really fun shoes!
I had a look at the eBay site, but they don't do my size :'( Damn man-sized feet.
Very innovative. I'd never have thought of putting most of those things into jewellery, but they work really well.
For me it's the making. I've spent the last few years (well, this last year since I graduated I've not been doing much. Curse you jobs market!) doing an academic degree and having no real outlet for...
Ooh! I can't stop staring at those rings, especially the ones with purple in!
Lovely!
Thank you :)
I think I'll have to look that book up, sounds good.
[[]]'s to all those with losses.
I got into jewellery making because I'm allergic to nickel and got fed up with not being able to wear most of the jewellery you can buy on the high street. Over...
Oh wow! They look gorgeous!
Thanks :)
I did carve out a channel the first time I made posts by holding my cutters against them and twisting. Then I got lazy and didn't bother with the next pair and I've been wearing them...
I had a bit more of a play with spirals and came up with something that sits flush against your ear. The loop behind the spiral before made the whole thing stick out too far.

I found it would be cheaper for me because I don't have a ring cutting system, and I'm not particularly quick at saw cutting rings :">
In terms of the money I have to pay out, yes it's cheaper to...
That sounds amazing! I'm going to have to wander round the jewellery quarter if I ever go to Birmingham.
I'm going to have to give that a go at my next class. Unfortunately I haven't got anywhere that's safe to use soldering equipment at home.
I'll have to show it some cakes :)
As for being neat, my desk is littered with copper spirals that are definitely not!
If you think it's creepy like that, you should see it on its side. I...
