And again my comments disappear.
I'm not annoyed, Dennis....more disappointed and offended that there's a hint, in certain comments, of a lack of common sense on my part.
Enjoy your weekend.
I wonder if someone could enlighten me as to why my previous comment had seemed to have disappeared until now?
Wow, was I ever sorry I asked a simple question. I have plenty of common sense, thank you. For what I was planning the stamped wording would have to go on the parts of the cutlery which are put...
On the handle where it belongs....didn't know there were placement rules when it comes to stamped cutlery Stamping on the handle or leaving the letters unblackened won't get the desired effect...
On the part you'd put in your mouth/stir your tea with.
If it's not safe would anyone be able to suggest a safe alternative, please?
Hi, everyone!
I wonder if anyone could tell me if it's safe to use cutlery which has hand stamped letters on it which are oxidised with LOS, please?
Thank you :)
Sorry, it's been a while since I visited the forum and I'm afraid I have no idea of the answer to your question. There is a huge variety of fonts available within the software, though.
Oh, thank you, George, I'll take a look now.
Thanks so much for the suggestions, Dennis. I thought it would be a tall order but worth asking :)
Hello, I wonder if anyone could recommend a supplier which stocks the full range of birthstone gem beads....I don't mind if they're chips or round beads but ideally no bigger than 5-6mm in size. ...
So, I bought a new piece of sheet which arrived today and it looked "normal"....I cut a washer and disc and weighed them....they weighed 0.4-0.5g heavier than the "dodgy" looking ones I cut the other...
I find washing up liquid does the job, too. Twice I've lost a chunk of hair about 6 inches long and also got my top tangled and shredded on my Dremel so I'd be sure to lose a finger if I wore gloves!
Thanks for all the comments, much appreciated. I've packaged the sheet/disc/washer up and will be returning it.
Ah, I wondered if it was how the Argentium sheet was supposed to be, I'd never used it before so had nothing to compare it to....it did polish up far better than this sheet of lined sterling silver I...
Thanks, Dennis, I will do :) Have to say I was a little surprised by the response about needing a new mop and compound. They'll hopefully get it sorted for me when I return the metal.
I've just...
Thanks for your response, George. Cooksons have said I can return it to be lab tested if I think it's faulty metal. Faulty or not, it's not of a good enough quality for me to be using for customer...
I use a lot of sterling silver sheet from Cooksons and am always very happy with it....until yesterday when I cut a disc and washer from a piece of sheet I bought recently. When I took off the...
In fact, I've changed my mind and I am coming back to this because, BarryM, I feel your comment was rude and uncalled for. I've read back through posts and you do say it's illegal so I'm not...
I love the stone....the ring looks fine to me, it's just fallen forward.
Best of luck with your job hunting, Steve :)
And on that note I'll be bowing out of this thread. I'm neither looking for nor wanting confrontation with anyone. All I was looking for was confirmation if it is in fact illegal as I know some...
Right, I thought you said in an earlier post that it was illegal. I know of people who do this. Not entirely sure how anyone would know anyway.
So it would be illegal for me to send a piece made by a friend, who isn't registered with an assay office, to be hallmarked with my mark? I'm not fully understanding why that would be illegal because...
