Aww, I've missed you all too. Lots to catch up on.
:~: It's so long since I've ventured into these rooms. Somehow I got myself logged out and then forgot my password. I've kept in touch with a lot of you on Facebook but I thought I would pop back...
Hi Chris, it's not so much about the amount of silver as your ability to melt and pour such a large ingot. Even melting small amounts of silver with jewellers' equipment can be quite tricky.
Well done and well deserved. That ring is lovely
Love it. What a beauty
Great pieces so far. I'd like to enter this simple Christening bangle, mainly because to me, making an adjustable bangle was like the holy grail and now I've finally mastered it.10287
So sorry to hear this Pat - what a shock for you. Only make jewellery if you find it therapeutic and not too stressful. xxx
So sorry to hear this Pat. Its so important to live each day as though its your last xxx
Hi and Welcome. My son lives in Aurora. Colorado is a beautiful part of the world.
I've lost count of the number of high end magazines who've asked me to do an advertorial. I think they prey on people like us who feel flattered that they have asked us. I've been caught out in the...
He was probably getting it laser marked and "a day or two" was probably a bit of an exaggeration! I can't imagine Andrew would send work off without the hallmark.
I can't imagine where you would start to make a chain from 6mm wire. I can't even bend that size into a bangle very easily.
Oh, thanks very much! I really wasn't expecting that. How exciting! x

Love them!
Hi Bill. I'm just down the road at Camborne :~::~:
I'll start you off with this enamelled piece with blue chalcedony. 9189
I use pip boxes and a cardboard envelope for cheaper things Jules but most things go in a proper box. I get my pip boxes from Potters.
The best I've ever used is the Swanstrom. They're a bit pricy but they're brilliant.
All my stuff goes in a jewellery box inside a cardboard box and I rarely get problems with things going missing and everything is very secure in its box.
I build the postage cost into the price of the piece and give free delivery. Anything under £50 goes first class, over £50 goes tracked two day and over £100 goes special delivery.
Interesting Dennis. It will be good to see photos of them on the models.
I used a dustbin lid to mark mine out - perfect!
I send jewellery to Australia and America all the time though its not insured. I've not had a problem yet but I figure I'll have to bear the loss if it doesn't arrive.
