Well, nothing magic :)
Did someone try the magic finding? I'm not getting how strand is secure without crimps.

I like millefiori with silver, why not? :) As for finding, personally I would prefer twisted silver wire instead of crimping.
Actually, it's very useful topic- how to achieve professional jewelry...
That's the such a high level I even can not dream about. Awesome. I'm a bit envious :)
Amazing work and the main thing that you seem truly enjoying with this!
I agree. It's impossible to predict even for insiders (if would, lots of people would be rich, not only a little selection :)).
As for jewelry making, it should be good in general if gold and other...
The price of gold seems going down surely. I'm guessing if it's seasonal or it's the beginning of price declining.
From jewelry making perspective, I think it may be beneficial making precious...
I checked the bead show here in Miami last week. First time since I've been visiting bead shows about 6-7 years ago. Things changed. The show is not as big as before, and the location is pretty...
Emily,
I work only with argentium silver, no flux, but I agree with you to work slow forming balls (sounds funny, yes :)), and carefully place flame to improve the shape. Just what you wrote. I do...
Nope, I'm not tidy person at all. However, I noticed how easy it is to go in mess with jewelry making, and I do all the time. Plus, having just a regular table instead of jewelry workbench...
Susie, I keep forgetting to do that, and yesterday I needed to measure thin gauge wires because I misplaced them in the wrong packages. Thanks for reminding.
I took old CD covers (not slim ones), took apart and removed inside disc holder part. It would be an ideal to leave it for wire, but in our humid climate I need to keep wires in plastic bag in...
I'm not alone :)
Peter, files are interesting idea, thanks.
As for short lengths, I don't have that problem yet, but will soon :)
Another problem will small finding, finished and unfinished. It...
I have silver stock in wires, tubes, and sheets. Tubes and sheets are not a problem, but wires are a pain because I keep all different sizes and shapes in original plastic bags with tags on it at one...
Well... How about to upgrade to pearls with stones? :)
Dennis,
thank you very much for the tips. I've been thinking about it since I started the first ring fitting. Compare to necklaces or...
Dennis, thank you. The sizing is tricky, so I will make a bunch of rings for myself (good excuse :)). It's time to upgrade from pearls to stone setting.
Thanks, Susie!
I was surprised how rich polished patina looks.
I used Midas Black Max patina which is applied by brush. I oxidized partially and carefully with thin brush, and I wanted it to match...
Here are the pictures. There are a few mistakes, but that's the first piece I don't hate :)
Well, I messed up with that ring as usual. :)
The shank moved during soldering, I used the saw to cut it off, put the dome aside, then recently decided to make something out of it. Lesson learned:...

You did not forget anything. Looking forward to see more of your work!
Hi, Dimitrii.
Your piece is quite a reminisce to me, but I've never appreciated Russian filigree before when I've had it widely available.
How long you have been doing it? Your piece looks like...
I'm in love with Saturn :)
Dennis,
I also heard that if you add garlic, silver alloy will be very effective to kill vampires.
(everybody checked the calendar? :) )
Actually, it looks much better without pearl. Maybe I give the last chance cutting the wire off.
I melt some small solder free pieces of silver into granules. Have a quite collection already, and...
No nitric acid. I mean that I don't want too much troubles refining myself if I can send it to refiner in exchange for new silver. Medical bills will cost much more than recovered with acid silver :)...
