Heres my effort, made the bench myself from an unwanted work top and some chunky wood i had.
Sold my motorbike to pay for all the tools and pendant drill etc... ouch! i loved that bike :(

I built my workbench with a neighbour (Carpenter) and it is very traditional except white worktop. As I am left handed my torch is to the left and I find files pile up on the left.

Feels a bit like na na na-na nah I certainly don't mean it that way and I know I am lucky, made all of the benches myself, the wax bench was from a BQ oak work top that I got for £50, the silver bench is a beech slab that I bought from a saw mill, these both have 5" square legs that are bolted from below, the polishing bench was an Argos wood workers bench with an old worktop attached and the heat bench is an upturned office desk with the legs cut off but the modesty panel left in place, attached this to two drawer sets from Ikea, there is still a lot of clutter in the workshop because I don't have other storage facilities, this was meant to be the garage when we had the extension built, I managed to fit a door and window instead of a new garage door.

I can only drool and dream... LOL! My workspace is my lap! I sometimes use a laptray, maybe even a bead tray/board, and I've even been known to use a bead mat on occassion :D

Hello all Rocknrobbie here
Here is a couple pictures of my workbench, I don't like to look for tools so I try to keep everything organized as much as possible.

My humble little workspace (I don't have a work bench - no room for one lol) is in the kitchen. Luckily, the way our kitchen is it isn't actually being in the way of anything. The photos show the progression over just a few months. Before properly working with metals I would just sit in the living room with a tray on my lap, I still do this and watch telly when I'm working if I'm making something that doesn't take much thought =)

If I've posted the photos in the right order it should look like this:
1 Just a few months ago, a sad empty looking space, with a cat....and a fishtank.
2 Semi organised space, very basic tool setup
3 More tools and metals arrive, annoying fishtank using up valuble space ><
4 Workspace how it looks now. A wee bit more organised.
White shelves are part of an old bathroom cabinet. I store my cabouchons in the wooden box on those shelves. The old slow cooker is used as a pickle pot. I got rid of the tank, but made use of the light =)
5 The new badboy - named MillE by some friends (after WallE). I use jewellery display trees to hang up my silver wires and semi precious gemstones. I find that when I see my stones I get design ideas when I walk past past it.
My setup is far from perfect, but it works for me & I wouldn't change it for the world!
