You could file the serrated bits.

I suppose if the metal was thin enough you could cut it with pinking shears. If you used a wide enough strip you'd then get 2 pieces from the one strip. I've only seen is vast array of strip at Rio grande but there may be someone in the UK. I'm not sure many people on the forum use decorative strip

I think your problem is that the better search word is Gallery Strip. Some of this can be cut along the centre line of course.
