Jewellers Resolutions
I know we have talked about resolutions in general but how about just one that relates to the craft, something you want to do, learn or achieve over the next year.
It might be fun to look back in 12 months and see what we achieved or did we do something completely different.
For me it would be to complete a collection for my website and get it up and running.
:merryxmas:
-
I want to get a website of what I've done so far up and running.
I also want to get the grips with PMC.
-
Mine is to pull my finger out and get the website up and running.
Secondly is to learn how to smelt copper ore and then cast copper and silver using traditional techniques so I can demonstrate to the public at some of our archeology sites next summer
-
To learn how to set stones, but first I need to learn how to shorten Gravers without doing them (or me) any damage!
-
To build my workshop and spend more time in it.
-
To neaten my work and finish things better.
-
To spend more time in the workshop. And to learn to carve wax better.:xmas;_):

I saw on Flickr that the Etsy Metal Team have got a Ring a Day challenge to themselves to make a ring a day out of any material not only metal. Some of the things coming out of it are fantastic.
My own challenge is to acheive something each week. I am extremely bad at planning ahead and let life take it's own course. I then end up rushing things when it gets to the 'it must be done NOW' stage!! This week is my Tax Return!
-
I just want to keep going! I want to learn the basic techniques that my current course teaches me, practice at home, and find another good continuation course.
I'd also like to improve at the design research and development process. I'm already getting better at it, I think.

to work faster i can never seem to work my hands as fast as my brain can think!
