where can I buy fine copper

Hope you are all well.

I wonder where I can buy find copper? I need to use it to melf 24ct gold to 18ct gold.
Can I buy any copper wire?
Only need very small grams.

Most precious metal suppliers would have it, however you can use electrical wire or a bus bar if you can obtain one, electrical wire is 99% copper

I use Wires.co.uk for my copper wire.

Wires.co.uk do not seem to specify the purity of their copper wire, if you use them be sure they supply at least 99% pure copper this is what you require for creating Gold alloy

Cookson said their copper sheet is 99.9% pure. not able to tell about copper wire.
Many wires doesn't say if they are pure copper.

If you are still puzzled, then do the arithmetic and add the required amount of 9ct gold instead. Dennis.

Electrical wire is pure copper and you can pick it up as scrap ( you may have to strip the insulation off )
