Molten Metal Stopper - Can't find in search results

Hi Everyone,

I tried searching for something to this effect but I didn't quite see anything.

Can anyone tell me an effective product to use for this purpose? It prevents the molten metal from pouring too far down in order to retain the thickness of the ingot.

I usually just clamp a suitable size bit of steel in place and rely on surface tension/rapid cooling.

As peter said, I have also seen a piece of clay pushed in place.
