I have been a member, although mainly in the shadows for a few years now. I would just like to comment here for the benefit of all new members. The cognoscenti here are incredibly helpful, non judgemental and patient! The first thing I learnt is that the more I learnt the more I realised I didn’t know! I also soon realised that “there are more ways of killing a cat than choking it with butter”. There are always different solutions to a problem. This is so unlike my other “passion” horology where there is little latitude and the sign of a good restoration or repair is that nobody can see where you have been! You may see I am a senior member!
