You can use anything to make the flask needs to be fire resistant and halves need to match, and have some method to clamp and align, when placing together, attached video is the basic principle you can make it any size or as fancy or as basic as you want as for the clay it is a closely guarded secret formula, many have tried to replicate it as far as I am aware no one has succeeded as yet. There are alternatives such as Petrobond although they are not as good.

thank you so much.. i just make a flask for minimalist casting with 2 corn can xD lets try tomorrow to see what happens.... but fits perfectly.. both part.. so i can save around 60$ xD
There are many recipes for oil bonded sand casting. They are a mixture of sand, clay and oil in some form. I've not tried these so cannot give a recommendation.

Have a search on Google and read around the subject before you decide on a recipes' merit. Be prepared to spend some time on experimenting. That is what you are paying for with the commercial Delft clay product
