'Lifestyle' pictures
I tend to use cutout pictures of my jewellery, (although infuriatingly they often look best in a quick snap on my bench), but I recently needed some pictures of some pieces being worn. Would love your thoughts please! Attachment 9204Attachment 9205Attachment 9206Attachment 9207Attachment 9208

Not keen on the model, too distracting. Nice jewellery though.

As said above nice pieces, but I would tone the model down you want you jewellery to stand out and the model to be the accessory.

I would like to replace this post with that below

I think you picture would benefit simply by going closer. I hope you won't mind my cropping one, to show what I mean.

Yep, it's a tricky one - I'm more than happy to use images of just the jewellery itself usually, and I do worry about things getting lost. Three of these have been printed larger than life size for a show coming up in a couple of months. They'll be at eye height, so am hoping won't be too bad (and there will be plenty of the actual jewellery there for people to see). Still time to switch to just jewellery images though. Ooh dilemmas! I will use cropped ones for website etc though. Thanks all, appreciate it.

I really like these shots. I think the model and styling really suit your jewellery.
I also like the crop that Dennis did though - maybe do a combination of the two?

I wouldn't do the topless one, I don't think its necessary ( I know you can't see anything but its what it suggests).
Definitely prefer the cropped version too.

I like the photos and imagine they'd look fab full-size alongside your jewellery.
I guess it depends on what kind of show it is and who the target audience is. I think they'd be great as promos for your work for stylists/designers.
