melting mixed scrap of gold. no hallmarks

Hi.

I have given a bunch of broken gold without hallmark.
She requested me to make it into jewellery.
I am a bit worrying to melt all together without know purity and its karat. maybe some of them are 24ct, 14ct and 9ct.
I checked I can get acid and test it by myself.
Is there somewhere in London can do testing of the gold and make it them to ingot per carat to be ready for making jewellery?

Or what is best method to test gold? will it be able to handle by me, very beginner?
