New homemade tool
Hi all,
i’ve been tinkering in the garage with a tool idea, it seems to be very versatile and is working well so far …. what do you think, could it be a commercially viable project some day?

Have you come across Wigjig at all? Sorry...
BTW - you might like one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B089Q36374/
Very handy for swapping between different discs.

Hi Peter,
yes have seen a lot of wire jigs on the market and have used a few of them. I wanted something more robust that can handle a bit of abuse. Hammering tapered pins through wire holes can help stretch and reshape them….. not seen one of those grinder nuts before…. Always something new to discover…. I use grinders a lot at work …amazing how many accessories there are for them…. It’s also a very dangerous tool that needs lots of respect… All the best… Nick

Great job, ( I am a big fan of home made tools ) although as being commercially available one day, they already are, in a different version

Hi China, I do find making my own tools very satisfying, I made this one because I wanted something that could handle heavier wires. The other ones on the market are great for intricate and delicate work with fine wires. Being commercially available was a bit of an afterthought and not my main motivation. You’re right It’s probably too similar to the other products out there…. Cheers… Nick
