Facebook - Fan Page WHooooo

I am sooooo chuffed to say I got to the magic 100 facebook fans on my MuranoSilver Facebook page today. :D
This meant I could apply to get a proper unique name address (Murano Silver) rather than that huge long row of numbers address.

I now have http://www.facebook.com/MuranoSilver
much better for business cards e-mails etc

To celebrate, my Birthday Blog Giveaway has been upped to

Can't remember how many fans you need before it lets you get your page name

BE CAREFUL USING THE LINK!!!! The bumf I found on the web says it will change the username of the pages you administer making it sound like it will change the username of your business pages - IT DOESN'T!!!! I've just managed to change the username for my personal page which I created and access my business page through! Grr!!!

Right, looked into this a bit further. When you go to the web link Log in | Facebook, look for the link that says "set a username for your pages". You can then select the pages you administer, ie. your business page from a dropdown list. I somehow managed to set the username I wanted for my business pages for my personal page! Eek!! Even though it warns you that you can only change your username once I've now managed to change my personal pages to my name as the username. Phew! Unfortunately, as my business username has already been taken (when I originally set it to my personal profile) Facebook now insists that it isn't available. I've had to go with second best so I've now got a username for my business pages (using indigobluej) at indigoblue Jewellery | Facebook. Got there in the end, if a little messy! #-o

And even though I'd managed to sort of solve the FB issue, I still had one of those stress dreams about it last night where you wake up more tired than when you went to sleep. Surely, there are more important things I should be concerned with!!!

It kinda goes like that Fiona, you go to sleep thinking about it, you wake up thinking about it !!! This jewellery malarky is an addiction really :)

Ha ha, you've got that right. As long as I don't get to the point that I did when I worked in a coffee shop during my sixth form years when I often used to shout out "teaspoons, teaspoons" in my sleep!

I've finally made a fan page too. Feel free to pop round and have a gander. Be warned though... my work is pretty basic compared to you talented bunch- I'm just beginning to get to grips with this silver lark. :o
