Ooooo - what a good thread!! My best find ever is http://www.jewelleryfocus.co.uk/issue.pdf I have got three months of magazine in pdf form off this site...I don't know if someone messed up the website but I'm not complaining! It is a brilliant jewellery trends magazine with all sorts of advertisers as well. Just keep it 'under you hat'!!;)

Can't post linkies yet but, Klimt02.net - weird and interesting jewellery. Vogue, kabiri, Retail Jeweller - all good for what's happening now.
I've recently found this very useful:
http://www.how-to-make-beaded-jewelry.com/index.html
also www.artjewelrymag.com is great, videos and tutorials
Great sites ladies - I've had a quick look at them and they are excellent! :)- Good for bouncing ideas off and seeing what's out there.

It's really worth signing up for their 'flashcard' on the home page too....I got the most recent one in my email box this morning and it is all about making a good wire rivet...so it reminded me to post the link on here for all you fellow forum folk. Lots of other stuff too...have a quick look!

All you beaders could sign up to http://www.beadingdaily.com/ (for some reason I'm getting an error message when I try to add the link)
And don't forget the Cookson's Knowledgebase with the direct link in the blue bar above !!! :D
Oh, Em...you absolute treasure!!! I have been struggling trying to transfer the size of my daughter's finger on the ring sizer rings to the right spot on my mandrel then faffing around with a bit of paper to try to translate that circumference on the mandrel to a measurement I can cut my silver sheet to...needless to say the finished size is not too accurate.:o And there it was all the time!!! That url is now in my bookmarks!! Thank you! Thank you!!:D

This website has tons of links to other jewellers, guilds etc. Haven't looked through them all yet, but so far very few, if any dead links. Sorry if it covers things already covered but there's loads...

I think this thread for 'good websites, inspiration, knowledge etc.' deserves a resurrection occasionally as it has a lot of interesting links that new forum folk might miss out on...
AND
ps_bond put this link in his list of 'what is on his (jewellery) bookshelf' and I think it deserves to get anothering airing!! It takes a bit of searching - I have put in obvious terms like 'jewelry design' (mainly American books hence spelling) - and have found some fascinating old books that you can view on line..without the musty smell!...;) art nouveau designs described as modern...quaint!! Anyway - the link could be worth putting in your bookmarks for future reference. Thanks ps_bond!!:D
Barbara:)
you are welcome :D
oh yes.
and don't forget inspiration can be not just jewellery places but things that inspire you! for instance: http://http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/micropolitan/

Anyone got $8,000 down the back of the sofa they can lend me??!!
I wonder if they cringe with doubt every time they post something new for sale on their website??!! :-D. :'(. (Can't decide which smilie is most appropriate!!)
I think this is when it 'pays' to have a 'pedigree' as shown in each artist's bio on that website :(

I don't know if it's inspirational or if I should give up now :D
The link for the microscopy site is http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/micropolitan/
