My first solo pieces....
Hi
I am a real beginner at this but thought I'd show you the two first solo pieces I've made (those that I am willing to show anyone at any rate :D). I made the bangle for my friend and the pendant was what I ended up with by just experimenting. Please be gentle with me - I know they are quite simple items but you've got to start somewhere...

Nice clean pieces, so just let the designs develop. Look at lots of studio work on line, including perhaps the work of our members, and here https://www.acj.org.uk/
Too small to see, but it looks as if you managed to solder a bangle after all. Dennis.

Thank you for your kind words. I have a 'scrapbook' of designs I like and will use for inspiration.
Yes - I did manage to solder the bangle. This was the first one that I made solo and it took me goodness knows how many attempts to get the solder to work. I very nearly gave up and threw it out of the window! I have tried numerous times since to make others but again - kept failing miserably every time. Here are 4 that I have been trying to solder for over a week now but last night - it somehow clicked with me. I've still got to fine tune them but overall I am pleased that I finally got to grips with it.

They look great - the hardest part is often making the start!

Thank you Ruedeleglise and Caro. Thanks for your kind words.
Over the weekend I had a little play about and I revamped a pendant that I made at one of the workshops. I reworked it into this one below. I also made a ring for the first time and it fitted perfectly (sadly I can't take the credit for the diamond ring ;))
