Hi every one
Hey everyone my Name is Deeks, here in London. I'm very new to the area of jewelry making and lapidary but I think I'm in the best place to learn from the professionals. I have always loved stones and rocks and have an interest in making jewelry from these. I read most of you were self taught. Could any of you point me in the right direction for beginners like me. Quite hard to find an association in London. Thanks

Hi Deeks. It's unclear what you are looking for, but:
If you want to learn then I can recommend the many Jewellery courses At Morley College London: https://www.morleycollege.ac.uk/
The association many of our members have joined is: https://www.acj.org.uk/
You should also visit any galleries within reach and of course the showrooms in Hatton Garden, particularly Cookson, Walsh and AE Ward. There is also a hardware shop in Leather Lane, that has an Aladdins cave of cheap jewellers tools.
We welcome you questions asnd will help to trouble shoot. Dennis.

H Deeks.
Only a couple of people are lapidarists on here who take part regularly. I think. If you are a FBer then there will no doubt be many lapidary groups on there if that’s the way to go. We have varied skills on here, some degree trained, long apprenticeships or as you say self taught, some with 50 years experience and many different skills in jewellery making so always a good range of abilities for any questions you might have.
Dennis will be up on courses in your area and there are endless books to be found, videos to watch depending exactly where you are in your journey and what it is you want to do

Thank you so much, I am very much looking forwards to learning new skills.
