Platinum soldering

Hello from North Manchester.
Just joined forum yesterday and would like to discuss about platinum soldering.
I am a working jeweller of 40 years standing and the bulk of my work is now platinum, mainly fabrication for bespoke work,
and am fully conversant with all techniques in this area, using primarily 1700, Hard, & Medium solders.
Now to my area that I would like to discuss.
Working adjacent to diamond, ie reclaw for instance , I obviously need to be at a lower temperature so, as I understand, this offers option of plat - Easy, Extra easy, and 18ct white. With stones fluxed of course.
Anyone want to discuss in this area. Mike

Not my area of work, but have seen this done on You tube online. Is laser welding an option?
