Looking for recommendations for a top cutter. Not cheapo but then not high end either. Just something that can cut up to 1.5mm wire. I bought a pair from Bellore but they couldn't cut butter! Thanks guys.

I hunted for a while looking for a decent pair of these without spending a small fortune. I eventually bought a set of AF Swiss 130mm tungsten carbide top cutters at £29.95 from Cousins. They work very well

I’m afraid I just saw mine for a clean cut but would be interested in a pair. I wouldn’t be buying from Cousins though

You don't actually say what you will be using them for Theresa. The AF will be fine for general use on soft metals, but if you are cutting stainless steel, then Mauns cutters will be needed.

If you need super flush cuts, then I am a great fan of Tronex, but they should be reserved for 'best' so to speak.

If cutting off wires already inserted you might consider getting oblique cutters instead, because they give better access in some situations. Dennis

I'm only cutting sterling wire and usually in tight places. I will take a look at oblique cutters. Thanks
