Hi everyone - I want to offer a brooch converter to my customers so they can convert my brooches to wear as a pendant. I have been having a play but so far not very happy with the results. I connected a bail to a thin tube but the brooch seems to pitch forward too much. Is there any way of overcoming this that I haven't thought of yet? The brooch pins are located quite near the top edge and in theory should hang just right but somehow they don't:(|

Hi Theresa,
A brooch converter is basically a tube with a bail attached, either for landscape or portrait . There are many on-line to look at, but this video explains it well enough:

If your brooch pins are in the right place, then they will hang correctly as pendants too.

Obviously they will tip forward if held up in the air on a chain, but when worn on the body they should stay flat. Dennis.

Thanks Dennis - perhaps I have been overthinking it (as usual):D

Well we all worry, if only about giving the right answer. Regards, Dennis.
