Hi all.
Ive luckily acquired a lortone tumbler and was looking into a spare barrel so the kids can do some rock tumbling. Can i get away with the same sized barrel from a different manufacturer?
I have a 3a and have seen a 3lb beech/evans. . . Just a thought.
Thanks x
This is for a spare barrel btw

The same size rubber barrel might work, if it is not too heavily loaded, but without the grooved nut and forked guide to keep it in place, it also might bind on the casing of the machine and not go round.

Unfortunately an imported barrel will cost more than double if you add freight and expenses, so you might consider a separate rock tumbler from say UKGE, or Manchester Minerals for family use:

Thanks Dennis. Ive been looking into all sorts of options and might have to go down that route.
Just wanted to keep it simple and thought itd be a bonus if it was tried and tested.
