How is this made?

I'm very new to everything jewelry making, very curious as to how these hooks are made? Are they cast or is it wire or something else?

Those are almost certainly cast, but they can be forged too.

As Peter says, probably cast. You could also bend over the end of a sharpened wire and add solder.
