Hi there,
Would anyone have any idea about good books on the subject of pearls?
I've just done a stringing course and want to spend some time with them.

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas

Nick

This is what is available online, but then you have probably seen it:https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=books+on+pearls+for+jewellery&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b&gfe_rd=cr&dcr=0&ei=lNg6Wt_VAY6xtge6hbjYAw
If Wendy from Pearlescence sees your request, she will probably have a recommendation.

I have read that one company in Japan has an annual ceremony, to ask forgiveness of the oysters for the suffering caused. Dennis.

There are some books, but I've never read them. If I may, my own website has an extensive info section in the 'all about pearls' and more anecdotally in the blog section (buying pearls in Hong Kong, visiting pearl factory in China etc)
